The Journie Rewards Program (the “Program”) is a loyalty reward program that is operated by Parkland Corporation (“Parkland”). The Program operates only through participating Pioneer, Fas Gas, Ultramar, Chevron and On the Run stations, or others as determined by Parkland from time to time (collectively, “Participating Stations”) and/or the businesses of third-party vendors authorized by Parkland for the distribution and/or redemption of Journie Rewards Points (“Points”).
By participating in the Program, you agree that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions, which may be changed by Parkland in its discretion from time to time, and you agree to the collection and use of your personal information for the purposes of this Program, in accordance with the Privacy of Information section below.
The list of Participating Stations, as amended from time to time, is available at www.journie.ca.
Persons can identify themselves in three ways, namely by phone identification, digital phone scan or plastic card.
To participate in the Program by mobile phone, download and install the official Journie Rewards application (the “App”) from the Apple App Store or the Google Play App store on your mobile device, fully complete the registration process for a Journie Rewards Account (an “Account”) and agree to the App and Program Terms and Conditions. You will then automatically be registered to participate in the Program. The person (the “Participant”) who completes the registration process with a valid mobile phone number (the “Phone Number”) via the App is deemed to be the authorized Participant and Account holder.
If a Participant forgets its Account password, the Participant may request a new password by confirming its Phone Number or email address. In the case of confirming Phone Number, an automated SMS text message will be sent to reset the password. In the case of confirming email address, an automated email will be sent with a link to reset the password, upon the Participant successfully answering a challenge question.
It is the responsibility of the Participant to ensure that its password is always secured from unauthorized use. Parkland assumes no responsibility or liability for the unauthorized use of any password regardless of the circumstances.
Parkland recommends that, when selecting a password for the Program, a Participant never use personally identifying information such as a telephone number, date of birth, address, or social insurance number, and never use an easily guessed word such as a child’s or a spouse’s name or birthday. Never disclose a password to anyone. Parkland recommends that a Participant memorize their password.
If a Participant suspects that someone other than the Participant has knowledge of their password, the Participant must change it immediately by contacting Journie Rewards Customer Service using the telephone number in the Contacts section below or by changing their password themselves in the App by signing in to their Account profile and updating their password.
The Account may be revoked at any time by Parkland at its sole discretion. At the option of Parkland, all accumulated Points to that date may be revoked, without any compensation to the Participant, unless prohibited by law.
Only one Account is issued per customer and only one Account is permitted per customer.
To participate in the Program with a Journie Rewards Card (a “JOURNIE Rewards Card”), you may obtain a Journie Rewards Card at any Participating Station simply by requesting one. The Participant receiving the Journie Rewards Card is deemed to be the authorized Account holder. The Journie Rewards Card may only be used once the attendant at the station activates it by electronically registering it into the Program’s computer system at the same time a Participant makes their first purchase.
Once activated, Points can be earned to the Participant’s Account. A Participant will not be able to redeem Journie Rewards Benefits until the Participant registers the Journie Rewards Card via App, online or by telephone. Once registered, the participant is required to verify via the link provided in the registration email. Enrollment and participation of any Participant in the Program is at the sole discretion of Parkland. When enrolling in Journie Rewards, it is mandatory to provide an email address.
In the event that a password is forgotten, misplaced, lost, stolen, or is used in any unauthorized way, a new password will be provided to the Participant once the Participant clicks on the “Forgot password” link on www.journie.ca or informs Journie Rewards Customer Service by telephone. Parkland will then disable the old password. It is the responsibility of the Participant to ensure that their password is secured from unauthorized use at all times.
If a Participant suspects that someone other than the Participant has knowledge of their password, the Participant must change it immediately by contacting Journie Rewards Customer Service at the telephone number in the Contacts section below or by changing their password themselves online by signing in to their Account.
The Journie Rewards Card is not a credit card but is a loyalty card. The Journie Rewards Card is the property of Parkland. The Journie Rewards Card and the Account may be revoked at any time by Parkland at its sole discretion. At the option of Parkland, all accumulated Points to that date may be revoked, without any compensation to the Participant, unless prohibited by law.
Only one Account is issued per customer and only one Account is permitted per customer.
To be a Participant of the Program, an individual must, at the time of registration, be sixteen (16) years old or older and a legal resident of Canada.
Only individuals may become Participants of the Program. Corporations, businesses, and partnerships cannot become a Participant.
Participants are responsible for notifying Parkland of any changes in their member profile information such as mailing address, telephone numbers, and/or e-mail address. Participants are responsible for any consequences of a failure to notify Parkland of any such changes. To update a Participant’s member profile information, the Participant may update their profile at any time in the App or online or use any of the methods outlined under the Contacts section below. Parkland is not responsible for any consequences resulting from any misdirected communications.
Once an Account is activated, each time eligible purchases (minimum gas or merchandise purchase amount may apply) are made at a Participating Station, the Participant will earn Points according to the reward schedules below. With respect to merchandise purchases, the number of Points earned will be calculated separately (before tax) for each eligible in-store item.

The only opportunity to earn Points is at the time of an actual purchase in conjunction with the presentation of a Journie Rewards App or Journie Rewards Card.
Points will be earned in accordance with the reward schedules contained in these Terms and Conditions and posted on the Journie Rewards website at www.journie.ca. In the case of any discrepancy between the reward schedule posted in these Terms and Conditions and rewards schedules published elsewhere, the rewards schedules posted in these Terms and Conditions, as updated from time to time, shall apply.
The maximum amount of points that may be earned for any gas purchase is 150 points for a single gas transaction. The maximum amount of Points that may be earned for any merchandise purchase is 200 points for a single transaction.

Points cannot be earned for the purchase of some items/services, which may include: natural gas, alcohol (in some regions), tobacco purchases, gift cards, prepaid long-distance cards, prepaid cellular cards, bill payments, items that are excluded by law, and other items specified by Parkland as exclusions from time to time. Points may be earned by Participants of legal age on the purchase of alcohol where applicable and where the Program is offered. Rewards of discounted alcoholic beverages may be offered to Participants of legal age where applicable and where the Program is offered.
Must be legal age to purchase lottery, alcoholic beverages and tobacco. ID required.
Points earned on a Journie Rewards Card transaction will be shown on the printed receipt issued at the time of purchase. In the event that the computer server used to record Points is unavailable at the time of purchase, Points will be earned automatically when the system becomes available and the new balance will be available online on www.journie.ca
A Participant's Account is accessible online on the Journie Rewards website at www.journie.ca by using the Participant's unique password. In the event of a discrepancy between the Points earned, the balance on a receipt, the Points posted online, and/or the information contained in Parkland's internal database, the information appearing in Parkland's internal database will govern. The information appearing online is initially generated from the computer system that records individual transactions as they occur at Participating Stations and for this reason the information appearing online may not accurately reflect the information contained in Parkland's internal database at the time of viewing a Participant’s Account online.
If a Participant believes there is a discrepancy with the number of Points earned on a particular transaction, the Participant has thirty (30) days from the date of the transaction on the receipt to contact Journie Rewards Customer Service at the telephone number under the Contacts section below and report the matter. After thirty (30) days from the date of a given transaction, any amount of Points appearing in relation to that transaction in Parkland's Journie Rewards internal database that has not been questioned by a Participant may be deemed final and not be changed regardless of the circumstances.
If Points are not earned or redeemed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, Parkland reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to adjust the Participant’s Account.
Parkland, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to take any action or make any decision that preserves the integrity of the Program.
In the event of returns and/or exchanges, Points will be deducted from the Participant's Account in the same amount as the number of Points earned for the returned item or service. If the return and/or exchange relates to an item and/or service acquired through the redemption of Points, all redeemed Points will be returned in Points.
Points are not divisible in the case of legal disputes, including marital disputes such as separation or divorce. Points are automatically forfeited, and the Participant’s Account is automatically reduced to a balance of zero, at the time a Participant's Account is closed, or upon their death, or at the time of their bankruptcy, or if there is no activity on their Account for twelve (12) consecutive calendar months.
No credit of any kind will be given to the Participant at any time for unredeemed Points. Unredeemed Points are automatically forfeited in the event of the death or bankruptcy of a Participant. The accumulation of Points does not entitle a Participant to any rights to any Points. Points remain the property of Parkland at all times.
From time to time, selected in-store merchandise and/or services may be eligible for earning additional Points. In these cases, the amount of extra Points advertised in-store will be earned in addition to the base amount earned pursuant to the reward schedules posted on the Journie website at www.journie.ca. Parkland reserves the right to change these offers at any time at its discretion. In the case of any difference between the reward schedules posted in the Terms and Conditions on the Journie Rewards website and reward schedules published elsewhere, the rewards schedules posted in the Terms and Conditions on the Journie Rewards website shall govern.
At participating Pioneer, Ultramar, Chevron, Fas Gas Stations and On the Run, a Participant will be able to earn Points when they make payment with an eligible fleet payment card. However, they will not be able to take advantage of any unlocked rewards or gas discount during such a transaction. The Participant will be able to redeem their rewards when they pay with a non-fleet payment card.
All references to currency in these Terms and Conditions are stated in Canadian dollars.
The Program is a tiered offer program. As a Participant reaches the First Reward and Second Reward points tiers as described below, a choice of three offers will become available and the Participant will be able to unlock one of the three offers.
As the case may be, a Participant will be notified via the App, by logging into their Account on www.journie.ca, or via a message printed near the bottom of their receipt that acknowledges they are ready to choose a Reward. Participants will have sixty (60) days to choose from one of three benefit offers available to them and redeem the chosen offer at select Participating locations only. If a Participant does not choose one of the available benefit offers, or the chosen offer is not redeemed within sixty (60) days, it will expire. An unlocked offer cannot be changed once chosen. In the case a Participant is offered a gas discount as a First Reward or a Second Reward, the Participant will automatically receive a discount for their next gas purchase and may claim it as outlined below.
Once a Participant’s Account has reached the Third Reward points tier described below, the Participant may be offered rewards to choose from and may claim it in accordance with the following:
Once a Participant has accumulated 300 points (the “Third Reward”), the Participant will be offered rewards to choose from, unless the Participant selects the option to save the reward for a later date, which option is only available on the App. Various terms and conditions are associated with each reward. Once a Participant has reached the Third Reward points tier, points in the Participant’s Account will continue to accumulate, rolling over starting from 0 each time the points total reaches 300, for the purposes of earning rewards.
From time to time, the Participant may also be offered a gas discount in various amounts as a First Reward or a Second Reward. If the Participant selects the gas discount as their chosen reward, the Participant will receive the stated cents/litre discount for their next gas purchase, unless the Participant selects the option to save the discount for a later date, which option is only available on the App. The discount must be used for a gas purchase made within sixty (60) days from the date it was offered, or the discount will expire. The gas discount will apply to one gas grade on a single transaction up to a maximum of 100 litres. If two gas grades (ex. Regular and Diesel) are selected in a single transaction, the discount will only apply to the gas grade with the higher litre amount, up to a maximum of 100 litres. Gas discounts selected pursuant to a First Reward, or a Second Reward will “stack” with other applicable discounts up to a maximum of 35 cents/litre per transaction. As an illustrative example, if the Participant (1) is offered a gas discount as a Second Reward, (2) does not select their reward prior to the next time they earn points, (3) earns enough points to reach the Third Reward tier prior to the expiration of the Second Reward offer, and (4) then selects an offered gas discount as their Second Reward, the Participant will automatically receive a discount for their next gas purchase, or saved for a later date as described above, in the total amount of the applicable Second Reward plus the Third Reward. Any other gas discount offered outside of a First Reward, Second Reward or Third Reward, such as through promotions, will automatically be applied to the Participant’s next gas purchase.
Once a Participant has reached the Third Reward, the Participant will be offered a reward. Various terms and conditions are associated with the reward. Once a Participant has reached the Third Reward points tier, points in the Participant’s Account will continue to accumulate, rolling over starting from 0 each time the points total reaches 300, for the purposes of earning rewards.
From time to time, the Participant may be offered a gas discount in various amounts as a First Reward or a Second Reward. If the Participant selects the gas discount as their chosen reward, the Participant will receive the stated cents/litre discount, which will automatically be applied to their next gas purchase. The discount must be used for a gas purchase must be made within 60 days from the date it was offered, or else the discount will expire. As an illustrative example, if the Participant (1) is offered a gas discount as a Second Reward, (2) does not select their reward prior to the next time they earn points, (3) earns enough points to reach the Third Reward tier prior to the expiration of the Second Reward offer, and (4) then selects an offered gas discount as their Second Reward, the Participant will automatically receive a discount for their next gas purchase in the total amount of the applicable Second Reward plus the Third Reward. Any other gas discount offered outside of a First Reward, Second Reward or Third Reward, such as through promotions, will automatically be applied to the Participant’s next gas purchase.

If the Participant selects an Offset Reward, Parkland will purchase offset credits (or contribute to a portion of a credit) valued at the approximate cost of other typically offered Second Rewards. Parkland may purchase offsets in monthly batches (or at other time intervals) after compiling the Offset Rewards selected by all customers during a period. At Parkland’s sole option, offsets will be purchased from projects that produce offsets, on the open market, or through other sources. All offsets will be purchased and retired by Parkland. Participants will not receive title to any individual offsets. Offsets purchased pursuant to Offset Rewards may be reported by Parkland, including on its website and in its annual ESG report, as progress toward emissions reduction targets set internally and/or committed to externally by Parkland. Parkland has no obligation to offer Offset Rewards or to continue to do so, and may cease to offer Offset Rewards at any time at its sole discretion.

In such an instance, Parkland will not provide such businesses with a Participant’s personal information but will provide them with the Participant’s registered Account number so that such businesses can confirm that the Participant is a Program member when necessary. An Account number itself cannot identify anyone, but if a Participant contacts one of these businesses and provides such business with personal information, such personal information will be governed by that business’s privacy policies and not Parkland’s Privacy Policy.

By completing the registration process for the Program, Participants are deemed to have consented to the use of their personal information for the purposes of this Program.
Parkland assumes no responsibility or liability in the event that a Participant's personal information is accessed by unauthorized persons due to any unauthorized use by third parties of the Participant's password, whether such use resulted from some action or lack of action on the Participant's part, including for example if the Participant has lost or misplaced their password, the Participant has given their password to a third party, or the Participant did not adequately protect their password.

Parkland reserves the right to extend the Program beyond the Termination Date or to terminate the Program at any time prior to the Termination Date, by posting a revised set of Program Terms and Conditions on the Journie Rewards website at www.journie.ca. Parkland may change any of these Program Terms and Conditions, reward schedules, benefits and/or procedures at any time, even if this affects Points already earned, by sending a notice to Participants between 60 and 90 days before the change is effective, identifying any amended clauses and the effective date. The revised set of Terms and Conditions shall govern the Program as of such effective date.

Parkland is not responsible for any errors or omissions of any kind, within these Terms and Conditions or as the result of any mechanical or technological failure or as the result of any human error, by Parkland, its employees, agents, by any other person or entity, or for any reason outside of the control of Parkland.
Any failure to comply with, any violation of, any fraudulent activity in relation to, and/or any abuse of these Terms and Conditions in any way may result in the forfeiture of all Points earned and restriction, suspension, and/or termination of the Participant's Account without compensation or notice, at the sole discretion of Parkland.
Any waiver by Parkland of any of these Terms and Conditions at any time does not mean that Parkland cannot rely on these Terms and Conditions at any subsequent time. No delay or omission by Parkland in exercising any right or remedy hereunder shall operate as waiver thereof or of any other right or remedy. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is invalid or unenforceable, such provision will not affect the validity and enforceability of any of the remaining terms and conditions.
Parkland may from time to time extend the Program to other businesses and other loyalty programs in which case Points earned and Journie Rewards Benefit redemptions will apply in relation to such other businesses and/or loyalty programs according to the Program Terms and Conditions revised in consideration of changes that may be necessary due to the nature of those businesses and/or loyalty programs and how they relate to the Program. The revised Terms and Conditions will appear on the Journie Rewards website at www.journie.ca and supersede the previous version of the Terms and Conditions once posted on the Journie website at www.journie.ca.
This Program and these terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province in which the Participant resides, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising hereunder shall be adjudicated solely in the applicable court in the Province noted above.
You may contact Parkland at any time in relation to any matter related to the Program using the following methods:
